Midwest Drive-up Restaurant as Memento Mori
︎
This poem is about how everything is so terrible and so incredible at the same time. The terrible stuff looms like one of those colorful gym class parachutes, the incredible stuff hides beneath it, almost out of sight. I've seen so much of the hidden good stuff late at night, parked outside of Swensons with my friends. This poem is for Bonnie, Eliza, Pax, and Resi, my favorite people to eat onion rings with. Shot in Swensons Drive-In, Ohio.
