This poem was written for my brother’s wedding. I was also in love at the time and didn’t have to look far for inspiration. The recording was made on the farm grounds connected to Mount Saviour Monastery, where I was attending the Orein artist residency.

Alex Morris hails from Mobile, Alabama and received his MFA in poetry from NYU. He worked for New Orleans Review and McSweeney's Poetry Series, and his poems have previously appeared in DAY ONE, PHANTOM and Everyman's Library pocket anthology, Monster Verse.
